This guide walks Convention & Visitors Bureaus and other regional destination marketing organizations through setting up a profile on the Meeting & Event Planners Guide. Your destination profile is the umbrella that ties together multiple venues in your region.
1 Create Your Account
- Visit the Destinations page and click the blue Add Your Destination button (or click Sign Up here).
- Fill out the registration form. Choose Destination as your account type.
- Click Sign Up at the bottom.
2 Log In
- Once approved, click the Login link at the bottom left of any page and sign in with the email and password you used during registration.
- From the dashboard sidebar, click Destinations.
- Click Add Destination if you don't have one yet, or click on the green action button to edit if you already have a destination listed.
3 Details Tab
Most fields here appear at the top of your public destination page.
- Destination name, address, city, region — identifies your region (e.g. "Visit Tacoma & Pierce County").
- Email & phone — the email receives inquiry requests; phone shows on the profile.
- Website — direct link to your DMO/CVB site.
- Logo — click Upload Logo. Use a JPG or PNG ideally 250×200px. Crop & zoom with the Croppie tool; click the saved image to re-adjust.
- Description — sell the destination. Why should planners bring their event to your region? Mention attractions, transportation, weather, signature events, etc. The Summernote editor supports formatting and links.
Click Next/Save at the bottom right when done.
4 Media Tab
Showcase your destination with great visuals.
- Video Links — click the + button, choose YouTube/Vimeo/Other, paste the video ID (or full URL for "Other"), toggle On. You can manage multiple videos and choose which is active.
- Photos — click Choose File. Ideal 800×560px, JPG or PNG, max 2MB, landscape. Use RGB (not CMYK). Drag to reorder.
- Hero banner — click the star on any photo to use it at the top of your destination page. Multiple starred photos rotate as a slideshow. Pick landscape photos for best results.
- Files — upload PDFs (under 5MB) like visitor guides, fact sheets, planning resources.
- Banner Ad — if you're a paid banner advertiser, upload a 250×200 JPG/PNG with a destination link.
